Day 1 Depart Los Angeles
Join your evening flight from Los Angeles International Airport bound for Fiji. (D)

Day 2 In flight
Cross the International dateline and “lose” a day.

Day 3 Arrive Fiji
On arrival in Nadi, transfer to your hotel. Accommodation: Coral Coast, Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji for two nights. (B)

Day 4 Fiji at Leisure
The day is free to enjoy this beautiful island. Swim, relax by the pool or join an optional cruise to an outer tropical island. (B)

Day 5 Depart Fiji / Arrive Auckland, New Zealand
Depart Fiji for your flight to Auckland (flight included). Meet your Tour Director on arrival at Auckland Airport. Check in at your hotel before an afternoon of sightseeing. Gather tonight for a special welcome dinner hosted by your Tour Director. Accommodation: Auckland, Crowne Plaza Auckland. (B,D)

Day 6 Rotorua Thermal Region, Maori Hangi and Concert
This morning we take a guided boat tour of the Glow Worm
Grotto at Waitomo Caves, then continue to the Rotorua thermal region where we are guests at a “Hangi” feast and Maori concert. Accommodation: Rotorua, Millennium Hotel. (B,D)

Day 7 Thermal Reserve, Country Home Stay
We tour Te Puia Thermal Reserve, viewing its boiling mud pools and steaming geysers. Visit the Agrodome to see a sheep shearing show. Later, choose to experience rural living with a country family enjoying home-cooked dinner and their hospitality for the night, or dine and stay at the hotel. Accommodation: Country Home Stay option or Millennium Hotel, Rotorua. (B,D)

Day 8 Queenstown
Today you fly to picturesque Queenstown on the South Island. Queenstown is an exciting alpine resort, situated on the banks of Lake Wakatipu. Accommodation: Queenstown, Novotel Gardens for three nights. (B)

Day 9 Milford Sound Cruise
Travel to Fiordland National Park and cruise the length of Milford Sound, below famous Mitre Peak and spectacular waterfalls. (B,L)

Day 10 Queenstown at Leisure
A full day at leisure to really explore all the wonderful activities and sights that Queenstown has to offer. (B)

Day 11 Queenstown / Christchurch
Travel over the Lindis Pass and through the heart of the South Island on your way to Christchurch. Accommodation: Christchurch, Crowne Plaza. (B,D)

Day 12 Fly to Sydney, Australia
Fly across the Tasman Sea to Australia. Accommodation: Sydney, Shangri-La Hotel for three nights. (B,L)

Day 13 Sydney Harbor Cruise
A morning sightseeing tour of Sydney, including visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park to see Australian native animals. Join our luncheon cruise on Sydney harbor. Continue your sightseeing tour of Sydney including a guided tour of the famous Sydney Opera House. (B,L)

Day 14 Sydney at Leisure
Today you are free to do as you wish. Perhaps take a sightseeing tour to the Hunter Valley, the Blue Mountains (own expense), or stroll the historic Rocks area. (B)

Day 15 Tropical Cairns
A morning flight takes us north to Queensland. We enjoy an orientation tour of Cairns on arrival. Accommodation: Cairns, Tradewinds Esplanade Hotel for three nights. (B)

Day 16 Great Barrier Reef
An unforgettable experience as we spend the day on the Great Barrier Reef. At Agincourt Reef, you can swim or snorkel amid the tropical fish, or ride aboard the semi-sub over the colorful coral. (B,L) 

Day 17 Cairns at Leisure
A full day at leisure in this tropical city. There are so many exciting places to visit such as the Kuranda Markets, (own expense) or simply sit back and relax. (B)

Day 18 Cairns / Darwin
Enjoy a free morning before our afternoon flight to Darwin, in the Northern Territory’s Top End. Accommodation: Darwin, Holiday Inn. (B)

Day 19 Darwin / Jumping Crocodile Cruise / Kakadu National Park
Tour Darwin. Later, join the guided Jumping Crocodile Cruise on the Adelaide River and see saltwater crocodiles leap from the water. We travel east into the World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. This afternoon there is time to view ancient Aboriginal art at Nourlangie Rock. Accommodation: Kakadu National Park, Gagudju Crocodile Holiday Inn. (B,D)

Day 20 Darwin / Alice Springs
Wander through Bowali Visitor Center for a greater appreciation of this remarkable area. Then it’s on to Darwin for our flight to Alice Springs. Accommodation: Alice Springs, Crowne Plaza for two nights. (B)

Day 21 Alice Springs Town Tour
This morning, take a tour of Alice Springs. See the School of the Air, the organization that provides schooling to children in remote “Outback” towns. Visit the base of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the historic Telegraph Station, view the West MacDonnell Ranges and enjoy panoramic views over the township from atop Anzac Hill. This afternoon is at leisure before our special Camp Oven “Outback” dinner. (B,D)

Day 22 Ayers Rock / The Olgas
Today we head southwest to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, home of Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). We stop to explore the giant rock domes of Kata Tjuta before continuing to Ayers Rock Resort. Tonight, dine at the resort or you can enjoy the unique experience of dining in the desert at the “Sounds of Silence” (additional US$60). Accommodation: Ayers Rock, Sails in the Desert. (B,D)

Day 23 Ayers Rock / Melbourne
For those who wish, take a morning climb to the top of Ayers Rock or a leisurely walk around its base, viewing ancient rock art and caves. This afternoon we fly to the “Garden City” of Melbourne. Accommodation: Melbourne, Langham Hotel for two nights. (B)

Day 24 Melbourne Sights & Colonial Tramcar Dinner
A sightseeing tour of Melbourne starts our day including Victoria Market, Parliament House and beautiful Fitzroy Gardens. We then join the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant for dinner. Enjoy fine cuisine and wines as we travel the city streets and exclusive suburbs of South Yarra and Toorak. (B,D)

Day 25 Fly to Hobart, Tasmania, Port Arthur Historic Site
Board a morning flight to Hobart, the capital of Australia's island state of Tasmania. We journey across a narrow strip of land to the Tasman Peninsula. See the rock formations of the Tessellated Pavement, Tasman's Arch and Devils Kitchen before arriving at Port Arthur Historic Site. We join a guided tour of the site, learn of its convict past and visit the church, penitentiary and guard tower. Reboarding the motorcoach, we return to Hobart. Accommodation: Hobart, Wrest Point Hotel Casino for two nights. (B)

Day 26 Hobart, Richmond
This charming harborfront city tour includes Salamanca Place, the Royal Botanical Gardens and panoramic city views from Mt Nelson. Continue to Richmond, a quaint Georgian village brimming with antique and craft shops, cafes and restaurants. (B,D)
