Rarotonga Beach Bungalows front onto a wide, ocean washed, white sand beach where the turquoise lagoon boasts one of the island's safest swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking areas. Each of the five individual bungalows is a free standing “ngutu'are" (home away from home) with a total surface area of 700 square feet. Conceptualized and built in the island style, each unit is elevated off the ground to allow cool breezes to circulate under the tile floor. To capture the Polynesian flavor, the exterior roofs are lined with coconut thatch, the ceilings decorated with island cloth, and the interior walls covered with split, woven bamboo.
