Day 1 Arrive Christchurch
On arrival in Christchurch you will be met and transferred to
your hotel. Accommodation: Christchurch, The Elms Hotel (Standard), Copthorne Central Hotel (First Class), Millennium Hotel Christchurch (Deluxe).

Day 2 Christchurch / Mt Cook / Queenstown
(Optional meal plans begin today) Today travel south, across the Canterbury Plains, through the MacKenzie Country via Lake Tekapo, where you can view the solitary Church of the Good Shepherd. Continue alongside the Tasman River to Mt Cook National Park. Continue on to the Lindis Pass and through the Kawarau Gorge to Queenstown, New Zealand’s adventure capital. Accommodation: Queenstown, Kingsgate Hotel Terraces (Standard), Copthorne Lakefront (First Class), Heritage Hotel (Deluxe) for three nights.

Day 3 Milford Sound Day Excursion
Travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau, gateway to the Fiordland National Park. Join your Milford Sound Red Boat cruise for an unforgettable experience, and explore the wonder of this majestic fiord. Journey to the mouth of the sound and see the seals and dolphins which inhabit this part of the world. Return to Queenstown.

Day 4 Queenstown
Today is at leisure.

Day 5 Queenstown / Franz Josef Glacier
Travel north today via Lakes Wanaka and Hawea. Enjoy the rugged West Coast scenery through the Haast Pass and continue on to spectacular Franz Josef Glacier. Accommodation: Franz Josef, Franz Josef Glacier Hotel (Standard, First Class and Deluxe).

Day 6 Franz Josef / Christchurch
Today travel to Greymouth and board the scenic TranzAlpine for a journey famous for its spectacular mountain scenery as it traverses the Southern Alps which divide the east and west coasts of the South Island. Travel across the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch, arriving at approximately 6:40pm. Accommodation: Christchurch, The Elms Hotel (Standard), Copthorne Central Hotel (First Class), Millennium Hotel Christchurch (Deluxe).

Day 7 Christchurch / Rotorua
Fly today to Rotorua (airfare not included), New Zealand’s thermal wonderland. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Accommodation: Rotorua, Kingsgate Hotel Rotorua (Standard), Park Heritage Rotorua (First Class), Millennium Rotorua (Deluxe) for two nights.

Day 8 Rotorua Sightseeing & Maori Hangi Dinner
Today experience the many varied sights that Rotorua has to offer. Visit the New Zealand Farm Show and Te Puia Thermal Reserve. Learn about traditional Maori crafts at the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute and then enjoy an afternoon at leisure. This evening enjoy a unique Maori Hangi (feast) and concert. (L,D)

Day 9 Rotorua / Waitomo / Auckland
Travel north to the Waitomo Caves, where you will enjoy lunch before your guided tour of the Glow Worm Grotto. Arrive into Auckland approximately 5:00pm. (L)
