Day 1 Adelaide / Kangaroo Island
From Adelaide Airport, fly to Kangaroo Island, Australia’s third largest island, with beautiful bush, dramatic coastline, national parks and abundant wildlife, including a permanent breeding colony of sea lions. You’ll be escorted by 4WD to explore a red gum forest in the Cygnet River Valley, seeking out koalas, kangaroos, wallabies and endangered cockatoos. Enjoy a barbeque lunch with fine South Australian wines. At Seal Bay Conservation Park, see Australian sea lions. The remainder of the afternoon is spent exploring the island’s southeast region. Day 2 Kangaroo Island / Adelaide
Travel to Flinders Chase National Park, Rocky River Homestead, and visit a New Zealand fur seal colony at Cape du Couedic. Explore Remarkable Rocks, huge natural granite sculptures on the cliff top, before returning to Adelaide. (B,L)
