Day 1 Depart Alice Springs on The Ghan Train
Today transfer from Alice Springs to The Ghan Train for the start
of your adventure. This afternoon you will arrive at Manguri where you will be met by your local guide and transferred to Coober Pedy. Accommodation: Coober Pedy, Desert Cave Hotel for two nights.

Day 2 Coober Pedy Desert Cave Tour
Visit a working opal field to learn about opal mining and see an opal cutting demonstration. Stop at an underground church and see the famous Dog Fence, the world’s longest fence—over 3,200 miles! (B)

Day 3 Coober Pedy Down ‘N’ Dirty Opal Tour
With a hard hat, flashlight and handpick, you can search for your fortune in a working mine! This evening you’ll be transferred back to Manguri to reboard The Ghan Train bound for Adelaide. Accommodation: The Ghan Train, Gold Kangaroo Service. (B,D)

Day 4 Arrive Adelaide
This morning The Ghan rolls through the stunning South Australian outback and into Adelaide, signaling the end of your amazing voyage.
