Day 1 Sydney – Coffs Harbour
Depart Sydney at 8:00am from Sofitel Wentworth Sydney. Our
scenic drive takes us to Coffs Harbour.

Day 2 Byron Bay – Gold
Coast
Visit the town of Byron Bay, famous for its relaxing lifestyle
and idyllic climate. Nearby, Cape Byron marks the most easterly
point on the Australian mainland. 12 day passengers join this
evening.

Day 3 Brisbane, Sunshine Coast,
Australia Zoo, Fraser Island
Travel north to Brisbane. Visit the Australia Zoo for a real
wildlife experience. Made famous by its owner, “Crocodile
Hunter” Steve Irwin, Australia Zoo houses over 500 animals
and gives you the opportunity to see wild-caught crocodiles
in action during the crocodile show. We continue via the Sunshine
Coast to Hervey Bay where we join a cruise to Fraser Island.

Day 4 Freedom of Choice Touring
Choose to join the local Ranger for a 4WD adventure tour,
traveling along 75 Mile Beach to the Colored Sands. Visit
historic Maheno Shipwreck and Eli Creek, a natural freshwater
source. Alternatively, explore the inlets and rainforests
of the island, or join a cruise watching for humpback whales
(August to October only). Tonight enjoy a bushtucker talk
and taste bush foods. (B,D)
Day 5 Tropic of Capricorn –
Rockhampton
Enjoy the island until we bid farewell to Fraser Island. Tonight,
consider a farmstay at Henderson Park (additional $US60 per
person).

Day 6 Mackay – Hamilton
Island
Visit Henderson Park, a working sheep and cattle station,
for a tour of the property before traveling north to Mackay,
Australia’s main sugar producing center. Travel to Hamilton
Island, just one of seventy-four islands making up the Whitsunday
Group. 8 Day passengers join. Overnight
: Hamilton Island Resort, Reef View Hotel with views of the
Whitsunday Passage for two nights. (B)
Day 7 Freedom of Choice Touring
Day at leisure on Hamilton Island. Cruise to beautiful Whitehaven
Beach, explore Hamilton on an island bus tour or with a golf
buggy, enjoy a Catseye Beach snorkeling adventure, go for
the Hole in One golf water challenge, or relax on the Banjo
Paterson Twilight cruise. Later, choose from four top restaurants
and no matter which activity and restaurant you choose, we’ll

Day 8 Townsville – Dunk
Island
Journey through the mango plantations of Bowen to Townsville.
At Mission Beach, transfer to Dunk Island, one of the Barrier
Reef’s most beautiful islands. Unwind at this idyllic

Day 9 Dunk Island at Leisure
Today is at leisure. Relax and discover all that Dunk Island
has to offer. (B,D)
Day 10 Skyrail Cableway, Port
Douglas
Today we explore the lush Atherton Tablelands. Enjoy a short
walk to beautiful Millaa Millaa falls, then marvel at the
unusual Curtain Fig tree. Join the Skyrail Cableway for a
magnificent journey above World Heritage Rainforest. Travel
along spectacular coastline to Port Douglas. Relax over pre-dinner
drinks and canapés followed by a superb Dine Around
Dinner.

Day 11 Quicksilver Barrier Reef
Cruise, Freedom of Choice Touring
Today explore the Great Barrier Reef your way, with three
exciting Quicksilver cruises to choose from. All cruises include
a delicious lunch on board and offer full bar facilities.
Cruise to the Outer Barrier Reef on the “Wavepiercer.”
At Agincourt Reef, a magnificent ribbon reef, go snorkeling
with the tropical fish or view the coral from the semi-sub.
Or, go sailing on the “Wavedancer” luxury catamaran.
Soak up the sun as you cruise the Coral Sea before mooring
in the Low Isles where first-time snorkelers can head in from
the beach. Your third option is for the adventurous. Join
the “Silversonic” and travel further out to sea
for snorkeling in remote Outer Reef locations. Alternatively,
indulge in an early morning balloon flight, including breakfast—it’s
all included in your fare.

Day 12 Cairns, Freedom of Choice
Touring
Choose how you’d like to spend the day. Perhaps visit
the unique Rainforestation to see the Pamagirri Aboriginal
Dancers perform and view native wildlife. There’s time
to ride the Army Duck for an exciting journey on land and
through water. Later, ride the Kuranda Railway, passing waterfalls
as we journey down the range. Or, discover the beauty of Cape
Tribulation on an adventure safari. Enjoy a walk in the rainforest,
a barbeque lunch and a swim in a secluded waterhole. Another
adventurous option is to go white-water rafting on the Barron
River, or relax at the Tradewinds Spa by the sea. This evening
enjoy our Farewell Dinner, reminiscing over vacation highlights.
