The new CHOICE HOTELS ENCOMPASS program allows travelers to stay in room types other than standard rooms that are available on the Choice HotelPass program. Whether you’re a family requiring serviced apartment-style accommodation or a couple looking for something a bit more romantic, Encompass offers suitable accommodation in all major gateways and regional centers.

Choice HotelPass is your ticket to guaranteed quality, comfort and service with all rooms providing a private bathroom and comfortable beds, tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerator, color television, radio, telephone plus ample heating and cooling.

Purchase your passes prior to your departure and pre-book your accommodation before traveling, or travel with an open pass and stay where you like, when you like. Each pass is valid for one night. Reservations are recommended during peak times (eg November – February, School Holidays, Long Weekends – check the Choice Hotels Australasia Directory for a list of key holiday peak times).

Properties are color-coded into six categories based on their tariff, covering the diversity of our network. Simply refer to the Choice Directory to see which hotels fall into the different categories.

As a guide, HotelPass color codes can be represented as follows:

• Silver Pass–Clarion hotels, resorts and luxury apartments located in city centers (41/2–5 star)

• Red Pass–Quality or Clarion hotels (4 –5 star), city center, resort and key regional locations

• Blue Pass–Generally Quality hotels (4 star) in city center, resort and key regional locations

• Green Pass–Comfort or Quality hotels in city center, key regional areas or outer suburbs (31/2–4 star)

• Pink Pass–Comfort or Quality hotels in inner suburbs or regional areas (31/2star)

• Yellow Pass–Generally Comfort inns or hotels in the outer suburbs or regional locations (3 star)
